captain magnifico

England manager Fabio Capello is believed to have warned John Terry about his responsibilities as a role model after naming Rio Ferdinand as his captain for Wednesday's friendly international against France.
The Chelsea defender had been expected to regain the armband for the game at the Stade de France after being injured for last month's friendly win against Switzerland when Steven Gerrard captained the side.

Terry has been at the centre of several controversial spats with officials while playing for his club and was seen confronting referee Mike Riley during last week's 4-4 draw with Spurs when Ashley Cole was booked.
But Capello insists: "I wasn't put under any pressure and all the decisions I've made, technical or otherwise, have been my decisions, my choices.

"I've got my own eyes, I can see things and I can understand things.
"We need to be role models when we play for England and when we play for our clubs.
"Part of this involves fair play and respect towards the referee and the public who come to see the games. In that respect, we need to get back something we may be losing a bit."
